Beige & Maroon Bagru Floral Bedsheet

Bagru's dye tradition runs toward earth tones, the maroon pulled from madder root, the beige from the unbleached cloth itself, the black from iron-rich mud that local printers have worked with for generations. This is the tradition that predates synthetic dye, and its palette shows it: beige, maroon, and black together carry the deep tones of something fermented, slow, and certain. Block printers outside Jaipur, Rajasthan press this vocabulary into cotton using carved wooden blocks in floral forms.

Printed in the Bagru tradition on pure cotton, this handcrafted bedsheet carries a floral repeat in beige, maroon, and black, the combination drawn from Bagru's characteristic earth palette, rooted in natural dye tradition. The carved wooden block presses dye into the weave at varying depths; the maroon is deepest where the printer's hand was firmest.

This sheet announces itself without effort. The palette is rooted, warm, and old in the best sense, the combination looks like it has always existed. Two handmade pillow covers complete the set from the same block session.
