Are they sheer?
The mulmul curtains are sheer and let soft light through; their titles say sheer. The rest are pure cotton, and the reversible room sets are semi-blackout.

How do I wash them?
Machine wash cold or hand wash in cold water, separately for the first two washes. Do not bleach; line dry in shade and iron on medium while slightly damp.
