Blue Floral Hand Block-Printed Cotton Bath Towel

The printer pressed it into indigo-adjacent pigment, then into cloth, then across, flower, stem, leaf, repeat. The diagonal of the border was set by hand, not by machine, and it shows in the best way.

Sanganer is where this towel was printed, a town built around the craft, its lanes organized around workshops where artisans have hand block-printed textiles for generations. The blue floral motif draws from the town's long history of indigo-and-white printing, a palette that Rajasthan's weavers and printers developed in conversation with Persian and Mughal aesthetics. On waffle weave cotton, the handmade pattern sits flat and drinks moisture fast.
