Green and Dusty Pink Royal Courtyards Floral Rug

The Royal Courtyards collection takes its cue from the inner gardens of Rajputana havelis, spaces designed for shade, for stillness, for flowers that bloomed only in that enclosed heat. This rug was hand block-printed by artisans working from those motifs, pressing carved wooden blocks into green and dusty pink pigments on stretched cotton.

Skilled artisans hand block-printed this handmade rug in the Rajasthan tradition, carved teak blocks, hand-mixed pigments, cloth laid on long padded tables and worked section by section. The floral motifs here come from the visual vocabulary of Rajputana courtyards: dense, symmetrical arrangements of bloom and leaf that the region's craftspeople have been refining for centuries. Green and dusty pink is an unusual pairing, neither assertive on its own, arresting together.

The jute-cotton construction gives the rug weight and texture underfoot without stiffness. It lies flat without anchoring. It folds for storage. It does not demand a particular room, it works wherever you decide a rug should live.
