Details
Kundan setting came out of Rajasthan's Mughal-era workshops, gold foil packed behind stone until it glows from within rather than off the surface. Strung here on plain colour thread, it's the old technique stripped down to almost nothing — and losing none of its weight for it.
Kundan is a setting technique with roots in Rajasthan's Mughal-era courts — stones held in place by gold foil rather than claws, so the shine comes from underneath. This set strips the tradition down to a single strand of kundan beads on coloured thread, minimal enough to wear daily and still unmistakably rooted in that history.
Three rakhis arrive in red, green, and blue, roli-rice and a greeting card packed alongside in a mandala-printed box. Tie one on a sibling who'd rather not choose between festive and understated — this set doesn't ask them to.
Materials + Care
Pure brass, sheesham, cotton — colours from a dye pot, not a swatch. Brass deepens with use; that is not a defect, it is the object becoming yours. Care notes for each material live in the Details above.
