Kashmir Willow Cloche Platter & Cutlery Caddy

Three forms from Ganderbal, Kashmir: the domed lid, the flat base, and the four-compartment cutlery caddy, all woven from the same willow, around the same dark wood frame, by the same wicker basket-making families. Together they set a table that is entirely coherent, entirely handcrafted, entirely from one valley.

From the wicker weavers of Ganderbal, Kashmir, in collaboration with KILAB, this set pairs the serving cloche (a lidded platter that works both open and domed) with a cutlery caddy whose four compartments organize without imposing. The artisanal willow weave on both pieces is the same tight construction, the same pale-and-dark contrast against the charcoal wood frame.

The cloche covers food on a balcony table; the caddy holds the implements beside it. Remove the lid for a wide, flat serving base. The set reads as a complete thing, not a collection of separate purchases, because it was made as one. Both pieces can be used independently, but they were designed to keep each other company.
