Kashmir Willow Tissue Box & Cutlery Caddy

Both pieces from the wicker weavers of Ganderbal, Kashmir, made in collaboration with KILAB. The tissue box has a detachable lid that fits without play; the cutlery caddy has four open compartments. Willow wicker over dark wood, made by the same hands, which is why the weave on both reads as the same voice.

From the Kashmir Valley's Ganderbal wicker tradition, this set pairs the tissue box cover with the cutlery caddy. The tissue box goes on the console or dressing table; the cutlery caddy goes at the table or kitchen counter. Both are handcrafted willow wicker over charcoal-finished wood, the same pale-and-dark contrast, the same tight weave that made these pieces recognizable as Kashmiri before you knew what to look for.

The tissue box lid is detachable, turning it into an organizer when the tissue roll runs out. The cutlery caddy's four compartments accommodate a mixed drawer's worth of utensils without demanding that you sort them perfectly. The set works across two rooms without looking as though it is trying to bridge them.
