Maroon & Black Bagru Chevron Bedsheet

Maroon is the color of deep dye, the lac, the madder, the old natural reds of Rajasthan's block-printing tradition. Bagru printers, outside Jaipur, have been pressing these tones into cotton using carved wooden blocks for generations, the chevron form appearing in their vocabulary alongside the floral and geometric in equal measure. This sheet carries maroon across a black-accented border, the combination is old, rooted, and carries a quiet authority.

A Bagru-tradition chevron print on pure cotton in maroon and black: the repeat builds across the cloth in a V-formation that has been part of Indian textile grammar for centuries, appearing in weave, in embroidery, and in block print. The black accented border anchors the maroon field, closing the sheet's geometry at the edges.

This sheet works in any room that can handle depth, the maroon-black combination does not recede. Hand-block printing gives the chevron its slight irregularity; the repeat is recognizable but never mechanical. Includes two matching pillow covers.
