Rose Print Off White Hand Block-Printed Towel Set

In Sanganer, outside Jaipur in Rajasthan, the rose has long been part of the block-printer's vocabulary, a motif borrowed from Mughal garden aesthetics and made practical by three centuries of repetition. Each bloom on this towel was pressed individually from a carved teak block.

Sanganer's printers work at long padded tables, registering each wooden block by eye and pressing it into cloth with the heel of the hand. The rose motif here is clean but not mechanical, the edges of each petal hold the slight spread that happens when wood meets wet dye meets absorbent cotton. The waffle weave base is practical: a grid structure that moves moisture quickly and drapes light.

The off-white ground keeps the artisanal roses present without crowding. Fold these over a towel bar and they read as a considered choice. Use them and they feel like one.
