White-ground printing is Sanganer's most exacting tradition, the cloth is bleached clean, the block inked precisely, the impression must be confident because there is no ground color to absorb a mistake. This bedsheet works in the opposite register: sage green texture on white, the pattern quiet enough that the cloth carries it as tone rather than print. Hand-block printed in Sanganer, outside Jaipur, Rajasthan, this pure cotton bedsheet carries a textured repeat in sage green and white, the subtlest combination in the Marigold Collection. The hand-block printing creates a surface that looks woven from a distance and printed from close, the block's texture comes through in the impression.
