Sanganer Hand-Printed Cotton Bedsheet, Peach & Ivory

Sanganer's printers work on long tables, the fabric stretched and pinned, the blocks loaded with pigment and pressed in careful sequence across the full width. The peach and off-white floral motif on this sheet was registered block by block, the repeat built up impression by impression. King size means many passes. Each one made by hand.

Hand-printed on pure cotton in Sanganer, outside Jaipur, Rajasthan, this king-sized bedsheet carries a floral motif in peach and off-white: a color combination that reads warm without being loud, botanical without being dense. The printing is done with carved wooden blocks, each impression individual, the petals shift fractionally from one repeat to the next, the print breathing in a way that digital or screen printing does not.

The cotton is lightweight enough to drape cleanly and soft enough to settle against the skin within a few washes. With two matching pillow covers, the set completes a bed without overwhelming it.

• Machine wash cold, gentle cycle.
• Wash separately for first two washes.
• Do not bleach. Tumble dry low or line dry in shade.
• Iron on medium while slightly damp.
