White and Pink Floral Bed and Bath Gift Set

Each piece in this set was hand block-printed in Sanganer, outside Jaipur, Rajasthan, using carved wooden blocks that a single artisan inks and presses onto the cotton surface, repeat by repeat. The pink rose motif on the bedsheet and the off-white towels with their floral border are from the same print family, same block, same hand, same morning in the workshop.

The bedsheet, two pillow covers, and the hand and bath towels in this set were printed together, same motif family, same workshop in Sanganer, Rajasthan. The floral pattern was applied using carved wooden blocks, the traditional method of textile printing that ensures no two sets are perfectly identical. On the towels, the waffle-weave cotton holds the dye in its honeycomb surface; on the bedsheet, it sits clean against the smooth ground.

The pink reads differently against white morning light than it does under a bedside lamp, the rose hue shifts warmer in incandescent light. The set is finished and ready, but the cotton's real life begins with washing. By the third or fourth wash, the hand on both towels and sheets reaches that particular softness that only comes from use.
