Blue and Dusty Pink Royal Courtyards Floral Rug

The havelis of Rajasthan were built around courtyards that held both formal and private life, spaces where textiles mattered, where color was a statement of standing. This rug's blue and dusty pink were pressed from carved wooden blocks by artisans working within that aesthetic inheritance, on cotton and jute, by hand.

Block-printed in the Rajasthan tradition, this rug carries the floral vocabulary of the Royal Courtyards Collection, motifs drawn from the architecture of Rajputana havelis, where carved stone lattice and painted niches established a language of pattern that the region's textile makers have always referenced. Blue and dusty pink is the kind of combination that should not work and does: the coolness of one and the warmth of the other create a balance that reads as settled rather than studied.

The jute-cotton base lies flat and takes foot traffic without looking worse for it. Place it anywhere. The rug does not need a particular context to make sense.
