Blue Mist Reversible Jaipuri Razai

The Jaipuri razai is one of the great textile achievements of Rajasthan, a quilt so finely filled with cotton that it weighs almost nothing yet keeps you precisely warm. In Sanganer, outside Jaipur, artisans hand-block print both faces of the quilt before it is filled and stitched, using carved wooden blocks and the same indigo-family blues that have dyed Rajasthan's textiles for centuries. This one is blue and white, the color of night sky through a carved jaali screen.

This is the classic Jaipuri razai: hand-block printed on both sides using carved wooden blocks in Sanganer, filled with a whisper of pure cotton, and handmade stitched flat so the fill stays put. The blue and white colorway carries floral motifs on one face and a complementary pattern on the reverse, the two sides feel like different objects from the same family.

Thin enough to fold into a carry-on, warm enough to replace a heavier winter quilt in a climate-controlled bedroom. The cotton breathes; you will not wake up overheated. The artisanal block print deepens slightly with every wash as the dye settles into the weave.
