In the punja weave tradition, jute and wool are interlaced on a flat loom and compressed by hand, row by row, until the textile acquires the heft and density that only repetitive human effort can produce. The geometric pattern here draws from the graphic vocabulary of Indian tribal weaving, bold, symmetrical, unapologetically structural. Navy and natural fibre read differently under morning light than they do at dusk.
