Green and Peach Punja-Woven Jute and Wool Floor Rug

The punja weave is named for the comb-like tool, the punja, used to press weft threads tightly into position on a handloom. This rug is handwoven using that technique in Rajasthan, interlacing jute and wool across a flat loom to create the geometric pattern visible in the structure of the weave itself, not printed on top of it.
