Kashmir Willow Cloche Platter & Tissue Box

The serving cloche and tissue box cover, both woven by the wicker basket makers of Ganderbal, Kashmir, in collaboration with KILAB. The cloche dome requires a weaver who can shift rhythm as the circumference closes; the tissue box requires tight, even rows. Different forms, same hands, same willow.

From Ganderbal's wicker tradition, this set brings together the domed serving cloche, which functions as a covered platter or, without the lid, as a wide serving base, and the tissue box cover. Both are willow over dark wood, both from the same Kashmir Valley workshop.

The cloche goes on the table for the meal; the tissue box goes wherever you need it to go. Together they extend the Kashmiri wicker presence from the dining table into the living room or bedroom, using materials that belong to the same tradition and hold the same visual conversation. Natural, breathable, hand-woven, and from a specific community in a specific valley whose craft this has been for as long as anyone there can remember.
