Kashmir Willow Storage Box, Tissue Box & Cutlery Caddy

Three forms from Ganderbal, Kashmir, a lidded storage box, a tissue box cover, and a four-compartment cutlery caddy, all woven by the same wicker artisans working with KILAB from willow harvested in the Kashmir Valley. The storage box keeps; the tissue box covers; the caddy holds. Together they organize a table and a home in the same material voice.

From the wicker basket-making tradition of Ganderbal in the Kashmir Valley, this three-piece set covers kitchen, table, and living space in a single coherent material: willow wicker over dark wood. The lidded storage box holds what needs to be contained; the tissue box cover replaces its packaging; the cutlery caddy brings the implements to the table in order.

The three pieces can live in different rooms, storage box in the kitchen, tissue box in the living room or bedroom, caddy at the dining table, and still read as a set when you notice them, because the willow and dark wood speak the same language across all three. Made by artisans whose families have been shaping this valley's willow for generations.
