Kashmiri Willow Wicker Cloche & Two-Tier Fruit Basket

A dome cover and a tiered basket, both shaped by the same Kashmiri willow-weaving hands. The cloche rises in concentric rings of wicker up to its peak; the fruit basket fans outward in two tiers, each woven separately, joined at the spine. Both collapse for storage. Both open into forms that work.

From the Kashmir Valley's willow-weaving tradition, this pair brings together a domed serving cloche and a two-tier collapsible fruit basket, objects that address the table from opposite directions. The cloche covers and protects; the fruit basket displays. Together, they form the beginning of a table that has been thought about rather than assembled.

The cloche base reads as a platter or cheese board without its dome. The fruit basket collapses flat for storage when the season shifts. Both are woven from hand-harvested willow over dark wood frames, so they share a visual language even when placed apart in a room.
