Lippan Mud Art Hanging Ornaments Pastel Set of Five

Kutch's Lippan Kaam tradition has always been double-sided, walls adorned inside and out. These small hanging ornaments from Kutch, Gujarat carry that logic: mirror work on both faces, so they turn in the air and catch light from every angle. Women of the Rabari and Mutwa communities press clay, set mirrors, and let the surface dry into something permanent and sparkling.

Made in Kutch, Gujarat using Lippan Kaam, clay worked into geometric relief by hand, mirrors set into the wet surface before it sets, these five ornaments are finished on both sides, so they read correctly however they hang. The pastel palette is quieter than the photographs suggest; in person, the mirrors provide all the brightness the piece needs.

Hang them at different heights on a plant, a doorframe, or a light fixture. Five is enough to fill space without crowding it. Each one turns independently and catches whatever light is moving through the room.

Care Instructions

• Wipe with a dry, soft cloth.
• Do not immerse in water or use liquid cleaners.
• Remove wax residue with a soft cloth while still warm.
• Polish metal surfaces occasionally with a soft brass cloth.
