Details
In Kutch, Gujarat, Lippan Kaam adorns the outside of bhungas, mud homes, in patterns that have no fixed template. Each woman brings her own geometry. This green and brown panel draws from that improvisational tradition: landscape colors, mirror light, clay worked by hand into something that references the earth it came from.
Made in Kutch, Gujarat by artisans working in the Lippan Kaam tradition, this horizontal panel uses a green and brown palette that reads like forest floor and bark. Clay is worked into geometric relief by hand; mirrors are embedded before it sets. The rectangle format makes it adaptable, above a console, along a hallway, beside a doorframe.
Green and brown are colors that ask very little of the wall they hang on. This piece will work in a home that already has things, and work just as well in a room that is still becoming itself.

Materials + Care
Pure brass, sheesham, cotton — colours from a dye pot, not a swatch. Brass deepens with use; that is not a defect, it is the object becoming yours. Care notes for each material live in the Details above.
