Marigold Fern Green and Off-White Bedsheet

Fern Green is not a bright color, it is the green of shade, of things that grow without full sun, of the undersides of leaves. In Sanganer, outside Jaipur, Rajasthan, artisans press this color into pure cotton using carved wooden blocks, the marigold motifs and subtle leaf patterns building across the surface in a repeat that is dense without being cluttered. The Off White ground keeps the green from closing in.

The Marigold Collection in Fern Green and Off White is one of the quieter palettes in the range, the color of a kitchen garden rather than a festival garland. Handprinted in Sanganer, outside Jaipur, Rajasthan, with carved wooden blocks, the bedsheet carries white marigolds and leaf motifs across a Fern Green field, the Off White ground appearing at the textured border that runs the edge.

Two pillow covers are included, each printed in the same session as the sheet, from the same blocks. Pure cotton throughout, the kind of fabric that improves with use, that a certain type of person will keep and rewash for years without wanting to replace it. This is that kind of handmade bedsheet.

Care Instructions

• Machine wash cold, gentle cycle.
• Wash separately for first two washes.
• Do not bleach. Tumble dry low or line dry in shade.
• Iron on medium while slightly damp.
• Store folded in a cool, dry place.
