Mustard & Black Bagru Floral Bedsheet

Bagru's floral vocabulary is earthier than Sanganer's, the flowers here are denser, rooted, printed in tones borrowed from the soil and the spice rack rather than from the garden at its most cultivated. Block printers outside Jaipur, Rajasthan press these forms into cotton using carved teak blocks, the dye mixing mustard, black, and beige the way a painter mixes pigments, not perfectly, which is the point.

Printed in the Bagru tradition on pure cotton, this handmade bedsheet carries a floral repeat in mustard, black, and beige, the combination drawn from Bagru's characteristic earth palette. The carved wooden block does what machines cannot: it deposits dye at slightly varying depths, so the print has warmth and weight rather than flat uniformity.
