Rajasthan's cotton printing districts, Sanganer and Bagru, outside Jaipur, have been producing block-printed textiles for centuries. The carved wooden block, the dye bath, the press: a rhythm that makes patterns that look designed but were made by hand, impression by impression.
This medium pouch is cut from hand block-printed pure cotton, quilted to hold its shape. The red and blue repeat pattern references Rajasthan's enduring printing tradition, Sanganer and Bagru, outside Jaipur, where families have been cutting blocks and printing yardage for generations.
