Royal Courtyards Rust & Maroon Woven-Sheer Set of Three

Two solid handwoven cotton panels and one fine mulmul sheer: this is the edited version of a layered window treatment that draws from the palace textile tradition of rust and maroon. The mulmul sheer is hand-printed; the cotton panels are woven. Together they represent two different relationships between fabric and light, one that filters, one that holds.

From the Royal Courtyards Collection, this three-panel set comprises two solid handwoven pure cotton curtains and one hand-printed sheer in fine mulmul, in rust and maroon. Each piece is handmade in small batches, and the combination is enough to dress a single large window or a pair of narrower ones, with the mulmul sheer adding a layer of depth without adding visual weight.

The rust-and-maroon palette is settled and interior, it absorbs light rather than reflecting it, which makes rooms with these artisanal curtains feel contained and considered. The mulmul panel is light enough to move slightly in a breeze, which is the point.

Care Instructions

• Machine wash cold or hand wash in cold water.
• Wash separately for first two washes to prevent colour transfer.
• Do not bleach. Line dry in shade, avoid direct sunlight while drying.
• Iron on medium while slightly damp for best results.
• Avoid tumble drying on high heat.
