Turquoise & Pink Reversible Jaipuri Razai

Turquoise is the color of Rajasthan's palace tile-work, of the Jaipur enamel work called meenakari, of the ink that block printers in Sanganer have been pressing into cloth for generations using carved wooden blocks. Paired with pink, the City Palace pink, the bougainvillea pink, it becomes the quintessentially Rajasthani combination: festive without effort. This reversible razai carries both colors, one per face.

A Jaipuri razai, the classic Sanganer reversible quilt, hand-block printed on both faces in turquoise and pink using handcrafted carved wooden blocks and floral motifs. One face reads turquoise-forward; the other, pink-forward. The cotton fill is minimal, barely-there, which is what makes the razai tradition different from heavier quilts.

This is the quilt that lives in heavy rotation, light enough for AC nights, substantial enough for cooler evenings, reversible enough that it doesn't get old. This handmade block print softens with washing. The colors deepen toward something richer with each cycle.
