Zardozi Star — Tasseled Rakhi Duo

Fine metal-wire thread, coiled and couched into a five-point star, sits on a disc of red and green before dropping into a soft tassel — the old zardozi hand, working in miniature.

Zardozi work — the metal-thread embroidery usually reserved for wedding lehengas — is scaled down here to a coin-sized disc, where silver wire is couched into a star-flower and anchored with dori. Below it, a tassel in red and green swings loose, giving the rakhi some movement instead of sitting flat against the wrist. Sold as a pair, one for each brother or one to keep as spare, this is a rakhi for the sibling who notices the difference between a printed motif and one that's actually been embroidered by hand.
